US Research Handbook on Smart Cities

Abstract

The US Research Handbook on Smart Cities will support you in the identification of the potential approaches to develop collaborative projects with US researchers, research groups and research organizations. With this handbook, you will be able to directly contact the members of the US research community, which encompasses a complex set of different actors across a multitude of scientific disciplines, working on the smart city R&D activities.

The handbook also identifies relevant networks and conferences that can be used as a conduit to meeting potential collaborators and growing your network of contacts in the US.

Furthermore, this guide identifies potentially relevant US funding programs both at the federal and state levels. On the Federal level, an overview of key programs and opportunities is given, including those that come from the United States Department of Energy, Department of Transportation, National Science Foundation, etc. Funding programs from Ohio, Illinois and New York are included as a sample of what exists at the state level.
